Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Monument Valley Tribal Park is a great place to visit and brings back memories of so many western movies. Going through the park, you could almost imagine John Wayne riding through the park. I had been to the park a couple of times before as a part of a tour. This time, we decided to relax and spend an entire day there. We actually checked into our hotel, had dinner (the smallest chicken we'd ever seen), and then headed out to shoot sunset at Monument Valley. The following day, we spent the entire day exploring and photographing the park. During our planning, we had discovered there was a restaurant on the grounds and decided we were going to have dinner there. We had a John Wayne Burger! Photographing at Monument Valley is always a pleasure, but this trip, we were able to take our time and take in much more of the park, to play tourist while we photographed. We also toured the exhibit set up to honor the Windtalkers, the Navajo code talkers.....we got the code!

Part of the day we had a clear blue sky and then we had a few clouds moving in. I thought it was beautiful with the streaming clouds.
