Maui

This was our 2nd Island on the trip and where we joined up with the photo tour group. We tried to get as many sunrise and sunset shots as we could, although the clouds didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked. Of course, we did get a chance to shoot crashing waves and of course, the main attraction on Maui was the Whale Watching! This was definitely a good trip for whale watching. We had quite a few breaching whales...most were younger whales learning how, but we did see a few of the full grown whales breach too. Thanks to Marti, we also found a wildlife area. Since the weather wasn't cooperating for landscape photography, we spent time photographing the birds at the refuge. After photographing for a couple days on Maui, we moved on to our next island...the "Big Island" of Hawaii.
